You know that inhalation of hydrogen cyanide, or ingestion of cyanides causes death. HCN, hydrogen cyanide is a highly volatile liquid and that hasten its lethal effect. The reason of this is the inhibition of the oxidative processes of the cells. Rapid death may be caused by swallowing as little as 300 milligrams of the cyanides or inhaling 100 milligrams of HCN.
The poisoning results from the following: the cyanide ion [ (CN) minus} is quite small and quickly makes its way into the body cells, where it binds to the iron in
the heme of one of the cytochromes. As an immediate result the respiratory chain shuts down by inhibiting electron transfer. Cell respiratory process then ceases and the period from ingestion to death is only a few minutes away.
Because the poison acts so fast, recovery from sublethal doses will depend from the promptness of antidotes administration, if you can call on the attention is such a short space of time.
Since cyanides are used in many industrial process always there are possibilities of fatalities from occupational poisoning. An emergency treatment includes amyl nitrite, sodium nitrite or a 25% solution of sodium thiosulfate.
Cyanide is not exceptional as regards the amount needed to kill you: 200mg (0.2grams) is the accepted oral lethal dose for an average sized man. There are hundreds of other poisons which are more toxic, Arsenic Oxide and Strychnine being just two common examples. However, what makes cyanide so notorious is the speed with which it acts. Cyanides are amoungst the most fast acting poisons known, mainly sodium cyanide and potassium cyanide as well as hydrogen cyanide.
As a hypothetical example, if you wanted to kill yourself, you wouldn't bother weighing out the toxic dose: you could just get a teaspoon full and dissolve it in water and swallow it down. A rounded teaspoon of potassium cyanide would be about 50 times the amount needed to kill you.
Upon swallowing such a solution, you would collapse almost immediately and lose consciousness within 10-20 seconds. Death would follow in a matter of minutes.
With such a massive dose taken, any medical assistance, no matter how aggressive, would prove futile.
A gram mixed in with about 4 to 8 oz water would render you unconscious within 15-45 sec (depending on your body) and without medical attention you would be dead within 30-45 min.
Cyanide ions in the Hydrogen cyanide interfere with iron-containing respiratory enzymes in your body which can kill you in 10 to 20 seconds!

In respiration, the enzyme cytochrome 'c' oxidase present in the blood binds oxygen and transfers electrons to oxygen, converting it to water and simultaneously brings about the oxidation of ferrocytochrome 'c' to ferricytochrome 'c'. When the cyanide ion of potassium cyanide enters the bloodstream, it preferentially binds to the enzyme cytochrome 'c' oxidase and thereby blocks the oxygen binding site of the enzyme.
The electron transfer necessary for conversion of oxygen to water cannot occur and the oxidation of ferrocytochrome 'c' to ferricytochrome 'c' by the enzyme is inhibited. This stops respiration, leading to eventual death. However the popular myth stating that potassium cyanide causes instantaneous death, or death with mere seconds of consumption is not true.

Potassium chloride interferes with the electrical signals that nerves give off. When it reaches the hard it interferes with the signals that 'tell' the heart to beat and therefore causes cardiac arrest by stopping the heart.
khud khao & dekh lo!
as simple as that
Cyanide causes death by inhibiting enzyme activity in the respiratory system. One tenth of gram is enough to kill and adult human being.
Cyanide kills by blocking a key enzyme in the mitochondria, stopping cellular respiration. This leaves the cells unable to produce energy.

Potassium chloride
Sodium Chloride or (NaCl) is regular table salt. This is what we eat. Potassium Chloride HCL (Hydrochloride) is Potassium Salt with a Salt Base. Any time you see something labeled HCl it means it had a Hydrochloride base (Hydrogen + Chloride)
I'm guessing you meant KCl or potassium chloride.
Potassium + Chlorine --> Potassium Chloride (potassium plus chlorine arrow potassium chloride)
I dont know someone help[
yes, in an instant
No, potassium chloride contains potassium chloride.

Potassium chloride is react with AgNO3 , the chloride ion subtract from potassium chloride to form silver chloride precipitate and potassium nirate. KCl + AgNO3 → KNO3 + AgCl↓
narcotic followed by a lethal dose of potassium chloride.
No, reacting zinc with hydrogen chloride will yield zinc chloride and hydrogen gas. Potassium chloride can be prepared by reacting potassium with hydrogen chloride or (more safely) potassium hydroxide with hydrogen chloride.
Potassium chloride (KCl) is not a hydrate.
I'm guessing you meant KCl or potassium chloride.
Potassium + Chlorine --> Potassium Chloride (potassium plus chlorine arrow potassium chloride)
There are two elements in potassium chloride. One atom of potassium and one atom of chlorine react to form potassium chloride.
The chemical formula of potassium chloride is KCl.
