Bioguard Optimizer looks like it is regularly used in swimming pools as a remedy for algae. The only site I found listing potassium tetraborate does not show that it is used for swimming pools, and also that it is toxic. See Related Links See the Related Links for "Potassium Tetraborate information" to the bottom for the answer. A: The product from Bioguard "optimizer" is not a product available in California so it must be very hazardous to the environment etc. I would not want to use a product in my pool that was that hazardous to people or animals. Use with great caution!!!. Or find an alternative like yellow treat or yellow out. Both good algae killers. Follow the manufacturer's label instructions.

How does potassium -39 differ from potassium -41?

Potassium 31 is potassium's normal state, the way you would find it on the periodic table. I presume potassium 41 is an isotope of potassium. (An isotope is the same atom, but it has a different number of neutrons, so the mass differs.)

How does potassium-19 differ from potassium-41?

The nomenclature "potassium-19" is not commonly used because it is redundant. The 19 in potassium-19 would indicate the number of protons in potassium. All isotopes of potassium have 19 protons. Therefore 19 is known as the atomic number of potassium. Potassium-41 is one of the three naturally occurring isotopes of potassium. It has 19 protons and 22 neutrons, giving it an atomic mass number of 41.

How is Potassium-39 different from Potassium-41?

Both the isotope has 19 protons and 19 electrons, but differ in the number of neutrons present. K-39 isotope has 20 neurons whereas K-41 isotope has 22 neutrons.

How can you separate a mixture of ammonium chloride and potassium chloride?

A mixture of ammonium chloride and potassium chloride can be separated using the process of sublimation. You must also note that both these substances are sublimable. Well this technique is quite feasible in this case as the sublimable temperatures of ammonium and potassium chloride differ widely. Between the two, ammonium chloride has lower sublimable temperature. Therefore, it sublimes first followed by potassium chloride.

How does the sodium-potassium pump differ from facilitated diffusion?

A sodium potassium pump is different from diffusion cos, it requires energy (ATP), and therefore is a active transport. Rather then diffusion which is the passive transport of solutions across cell membranes without using energy, and is determined by the concentration gradient.

How can you separate potassium chloride and ammonium chloride?

A mixture of ammonium chloride and potassium chloride can be separated using the process of sublimation. You must also note that both these substances are sublimable. So, the question arises that how can these substances be separated using this technique? This technique is quite feasible in this case as the sublimable temperatures of ammonium and potassium chloride differ widely. Between the two, ammonium chloride (See the related link) has lower sublimable temperatures. Therefore, it sublimes first followed by potassium chloride.

What is the difference between a trial version and a paid version of The PC Optimizer software?

The basic difference between a trial and a paid version of The PC Optimizer software is that the first one is a free version of the software, which is valid for 30 days, whereas the later one is a paid one whose validity depends upon the plan you opt for. Rest other features and performance does not differ in any possible way.
