Just in case you're wondering what Oxygenated and De-oxygenated mean, Oxygen means filled with/contains Oxygen, whereas De-oxygenated means the opposite: does not contain Oxygen.

∙ 12y agoFirst of all, arteries take blood away from the heart and veins carry blood toward the heart. Pulmonary refers to the lungs. So, the pulmonary artery takes blood away from the heart, to the lungs to be oxygenated. Then the pulmonary vein takes it back to the heart.
