Religion can provide unity among a group of people or culture, as well as values that a culture or nation lives and abides by. Religion (or, more appropriately the belief in some kind of god, gods or "higher power") has been scientifically shown to be beneficial to an individual's health and also their response to illness. Going beyond this, however, one usually hopes that their religion is providing truth or a way to truly access something beyond the normal, visible world. In this sense, religion can provide a "point" to life, or meaning to life.
A sense of wholeness, and a feeling that one is never alone. Your church body is always there for you.
A belief. But really, it just depends on the religion you are of
doesnt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! obviously
Missionaries are the people who help spread a religion.
Christians help people with international charity for orphans, widows, and the poor whatever the religion the people who need help are. Christians have a good relationship with the Jewish religion and try to be kind to people no matter the person's religion.
to teach about religion
concentration is independent from religion
People are slowly starting to turn their backs on religion and with new religions like the Jedi knight religion, religion has also lost a lot of respect and meaning. No matter what religion you are part of it will eventually "die out" so don't bother. At the rate people have been leaving religion within 100 years most people will not be part of a religion. 200 years only a very small part of the world will believe in religion and in 500 years it will be in text books (or maybe some electronic device that was invented). I myself am not part of religion but for your remaining life if you do choose to stay with your religion, converting people to your religion or persuade people to not leave will help slightly but in the log run your work will be for nothing!
tHEY SHOW THAT PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DIE FOR THEIR RELIGION.
I am offended that religion is more important than reason to most people. I'm offended that these people are the "moral majority" who steer public policy. I'm offended that people can't abandon the stupid crutch of religion to help move society ahead.
Religion over the years has had the tolerance stand still, people are still in arguments about religion, but people do still go church, though since the second world war religion has spread rapidly.
If you understand a persons religion, it can give you an insight into why they do things & there motivations behind their actions. It can also help to understand them from a cultural point.
Not very many people still practice it today. It's a dying religion and the cultural revolution in China didn't help it much. More people use it as a philosophy than a religion.
There isn't a major religion that focuses on that belief. Several small groups may talk about the idea, though.
Catholic church teaches them to choose their freedom. All people has a free will.Investigating the history and prove by their action their faith is the true religion of God wants us to be.
