Respiration does not add carbon to the atmosphere. Breathing emits carbon dioxide that was recently removed from the atmosphere (when the food we eat was growing).

Human and animals live by taking in oxygen needed for living and breathing out carbon oxygen into the atmosphere. This is part of the carbon cycle, and does not contribute to global warming.

No. Photosynthesis sequesters CO2 from the atmosphere by making the carbon atom part of a sugar, glucose. Only respiration releases CO2 into the atmosphere by breaking down either a sugar or a fatty acid.

That is just the way it works is the easiest way to say it. Animals use food (glucose) to make energy (ATP) and produce water and carbon dioxide as wastes. Plants use carbon dioxide and water and the energy from the sun to make food (glucose) and oxygen as waste.

How are cellular respiration and photosynthesis almost opposite process?

photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and cellular respiration puts it back.Photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, and cellular respiration puts it back.

The relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration is usually described as a cycle?

Photosynthesis removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Cellular respiration puts it back. Photosynthesis releases oxygen into the atmosphere, and cellular respiration uses that oxygen to release energy from food.

Does photosynthesis take carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere?

No, Cellular Respiration returns carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere: Photosynthesis: Carbon Dioxide + Water -> Light Energy -> Sugar + Oxygen Cellular Respiration: Sugar + Oxygen -> C.R. -> Carbon Dioxide + Water

Animals help keep the gases in the atmosphere in balance by?

Plants and animals help to maintain a balance of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Photosynthesis releases oxygen and cellular respiration releases carbon dioxide.

How photosynthesis and cellular respiration opposite in terms of carbon dioxide?

Cellular respiration creates carbon dioxide while photosynthesis uses it.

What do the process of photosynthesis and cellular respiration form?

The Processes Of Photosynthesis And Cellular Respiration Form Carbon Dioxide-Oxygen Cycle

How do you describe the carbon cycle?

The two processes of the carbon cycle are photosynthesis and cellular respiration. In photosynthesis carbon from carbon dioxide is fixed into carbohydrates. In cellular respiration, carbohydrates are broken down to form ATP and carbon in the form of carbon dioxide is released into the atmosphere.

How does oxygen enter the atmosphere cellular respiration or photosynthesis?

Photosynthesis produces water and oxygen plus energy. It uses carbon dioxide and water to begin the process.

The products of photosynthesis that begin cellular respiration are?

The products of photosynthesis that begin cellular respiration are oxygen and glucose. This will then yield carbon dioxide and water.

What two biological processes drive the carbon cycle?

Which molecules involved in photosynthesis and respiration contain carbon?

Carbon dioxide in cellular respiration CO2 And in photosynthesis Oxygen

What does photosynthesis have that cellular respiration doesn't have?

Photosynthesis does consume carbon dioxide, which is obtained from the air, by means of respiration.
