Semen is the fluid that ejaculates from the Penis. Sperm makes up only about 3-5% of the liquid in an ejaculation. The rest of that liquid is there to flush it from the penis & carry it along into the vagina.

Once in the vagina the semen which is full of sugars & acids, feeds and protects the sperm. The sperm are actualy living cells that carry the DNA information that the egg needs to start dividing and making a baby.
