There are two options which I would most recommend:
a) Visit a local stamp collecting store and they will be able to tell you or guide you in the right direction.
b) Pick up a copy of "Scott" Catalogue of stamps from your local library. There are 6 volumes and have any postage stamp which was issued in the those countries. They are catagorized by country in an alphabetical fashion so you shouldn't have a problem finding out the value of your stamp!
Although, do remember that the market value and catalogue value of stamps are different. True market value of stamps are generally, depending on the issue, about 60-80% of catalogue. Condition is very important, too.
as much as someone is prepared to pay for it.
I don't find a stamp commemorating that group. If you can send me a link to a picture on my message board, I'll see what I can find out!
You can find all of the current stamp denominations on the Royal Mail site, here is a link: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?mediaId=52300716&catId=600025 Standard bright blue 2nd class stamp is worth 30p Large letter bright blue 2nd class stamp is worth 47p Standard gold 1st class stamp is worth 39p Large letter gold 1st class stamp is worth 61p Happy Mailing :)
It will depend a great deal on how old it is. For a modern stamp, you can probably buy one for around 20 cents, but you would have difficulty finding someone to buy it from you. If it is from an earlier age, you can consult a stamp catalog, online or in your library, to identify and find a catalog value.
I have a unuse Fredrick Douglass stamp i want to know how much is it worth
Currency wise, it is worth face value. If you can identify the stamp using a catalog, you may find that it has value to collectors. Most libraries have a catalog you can reference and find out the collector value.
There is a Scott code for all stamps. You can use mysticstamp to find the price of your stamp.
Sorry, I am unable to find a 2 cent Eisenhower stamp. Please consult a catalog and try to identify which stamp it is. Your library will have Scott Catalogs which can help you.
The 2 half 1907 stamps are worth 30 cents. There are however very hard to find.
In order to find out, you will have to fully identify the stamp. In addition to the picture, the type of paper, watermark, printing process and other items may have to be determined. Consult a good catalog for the definitions and help. You can usually find one in your local library and parts can be found online.
We don't know what year your stamp was made. There were many different 10¢ airmail stamps. If it has a Liberty Bell picture it's worth around 50¢. If he has an airplane it's worth around $3.00 to $8.00 depending on which picture it has. If it's only a red stamp that says Air Mail it isn't worth very much, maybe 25¢. Go to a book store and look at a Stamp Price Guide to find the same one as you have.
Without knowing more about the stamp, it's impossible to answer. You need to include the country, date (if you can find it) and what is on the stamp (who or what is on it). Also a rough idea about the cindition would help in pricing the stamp.
