Depending on the roughness or smoothness of the surface, it will increase friction if it is rough,(which has more microscopic hills and valleys). If the surface is made of a smooth material, it will decrease friction

Where is frictions belongs?

Friction belongs in between two contacting surfaces

Is frictions force?

Frictional force is the force that opposes motion between two surfaces.

When you place a ball at the top of a hill and it accelerates toward the bottom of the hill it probably also experiences what two frictions?

When a ball accelerates down a hill, it experiences both kinetic friction (friction between moving surfaces) and rolling friction (resistance between the rolling ball and the surface). These two frictions oppose the ball's motion and affect its speed as it moves downhill.

Define friction?

mechanical friction is when two mechanics create friction

What forces affect the friction between two surfaces?

Force pushing two surfaces together

What factors affect kinetic friction?

Factors affecting kinetic friction include the nature of the surfaces in contact, the roughness of the surfaces, the normal force pressing the surfaces together, and the presence of any lubricants or contaminants on the surfaces. Additionally, the temperature of the surfaces can affect kinetic friction.

What do all Forces act on?

Frictions

What are the two surfaces that affect the friction force between two surfaces?

mass and velocity

What factors affect the frictional force between two objects?

The factors that affect the frictional force between two objects are the nature of the surfaces in contact, the normal force pressing the surfaces together, the roughness of the surfaces, and the presence of any lubricants or contaminants between the surfaces.

What Two factors that affect the magnitude of friction?

The two factors that affect the magnitude of friction are the nature of the surfaces in contact and the normal force pressing the surfaces together. Friction is stronger when the surfaces are rough and when the normal force increases.

What are the 2 factors that affect the frictional force between 2 surface?

The two factors that affect frictional force between two surfaces are the type of material of the surfaces and the force pressing the surfaces together.

What are the two factors that affect the frictional force between two surfaces?

maybe it could be something related to the universe
