How does synite occur?

Syenites are generally formed in areas where the Earth's crust is the thickest. To produce syenite, you must melt a granitic or igneous rock so that only a portion of the rock has melted.

Silica melt is produced when the melting is done slowly and at a very low temperature. This forms syenite.
