Catholic AnswerThe Eucharist is actually, in all reality, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of Our Blessed Savior, hidden under the Forms of Bread and Wine. That are not present together, or for the duration of the Mass. He is completely and entirely present as long as the Elements endure. As such, receiving Holy Communion worthilygives you all the graces that God wishes to give you IF you are receptive to that. To be receptive to receiving worthily the Most Precious Body and Blood of Our Blessed Lord in Holy Communion, you must begin your preparation very early by going to Confession, by praying the night before that you will be worthy to receive Communion. You should arrive very early before Mass and spend time in prayer with Our Blessed Lord, participate actively in the Mass, and then after Mass spend AT LEAST ten minutes, if not longer, thanking Our Blessed Lord for coming to you, and asking Him especially for what you need to lead a good, Holy life. If you do all of this, then the good God will give you the strength and wisdom that you need to live a holy Christian life. The Apostle's Creed is nothing other than a statement of the beliefs that Christians have, it is not how to live.
