You do not get into Christ, but He gets into you. It is called being "Born Again" by the power of the Holy Spirit. He manifests your spirit with Himself, changing you from the inside, your mind and heart. It is all about Him and not aboutus. None of us would seek God in ourselves, but He seeks us and draws us to God. See John 6:44.
The Old Testament tells the history of the nation Israel and God's dealings with them to about 400 B.C. Christians see its complement in the New Testament, which reveals Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy.
The "New" Testament - the story the life of Christ and the Teachings of Christ.
The bible is divided into two parts the old and the new testament. The old testament is before the birth of Christ and the New Testament is after Christ was born.
The word Testament means covenant. The Old Testament describes the old covenant God made. The New Testament describes the new covenant Gad made with humans through Christ Jesus. The Old Testament looks forward to Christ where as the New Testament looks back at the promises of Christ.
There are two testaments in the Bible. The Old Testament is before Christ was born, the New Testament is after Christ was born. And, yes, the Old Testament and the New Testament, together, are the Bible.
Christ forms the basis for the new testament as it is on his life and teaching and also death and resurection.
The councils have not remained faithful to the new testament models of Jesus Christ.
You can tell them that the New Testament contains historical records about the life of Jesus and the establishment of the Christian Church. However you should also teach how the Old Testament is a record of man's history and God's dealing with mankind throughout history. In the Old Testament the nature and character of God is revealed and we learn about the relationship of God and man. You should also teach how the New Testament is a fulfillment of things foretold in the Old Testament and how the coming of Christ is another way in which God has spoken to all of mankind. The New Testament cannot be explained without reference to the Old Testament. Even themeaning of the words 'old' and 'new' 'testament' are important in explaining the New Testament
