If you have a pet, it is your responsibility to look after it! You have to take care of it yourself by getting the necessary insurance, buying its food, hygiene and other essential things you need to look after a pet's basic needs. These may vary from specie to specie, or even from breed to breed. Although, if you abuse your pet, the RSPCA will take it on and care and re home it, but they have so many of these cases and are so busy it's best not to add to their workload. If you don't want your pet anymore, re home it yourself!

Kinda-sorta.

RSPCA deals mainly with domestic animals and pets.

If they come across wild animals they will usually try to hand them over as soon as possible to a wildlife rehabilitation group.

But if it's an easy catch-and-release of a wild animal simply gotten trapped indoors, in a walled garden or similar they may well sort it out themselves.
