There are two different answers here. First, for anyone who has read The Bible the idea that God used the Big Bang is not blasphemy. He created Light, he can probably handle an explosion.

Second, the theory of the Big Bang supports that the origins of life on the earth are the results of natural selection and survival of the fittest. Theologians believe that God had creative days as expressed in Genesis 1 & 2 in the Bible. Many take the idea that the "day" was a 24 hour period as we have today. The Bible however uses the term day in the way that we would say "Back in my grandfather's day" etc. The scriptures also say that a day to God is a thousand years. Science supports the theory that the creative days could have been as long as 45-50,000 years of our scale.

As it sits there is not a definitive answer available for either side. And yes, I know that every person who believes in evolution and works in science will have a cow at that statement. But the truth is that there are a LOT of holes in the evolutionary theory.

Both are right now, based on faith. A Christian will go apoplectic too if someone posits the theory that life was not created by a Supreme Being.

In the end, as of today, each person has to draw their own conclusions for themselves by examining the facts.

What was the relationship between the scientific revolution and the enlightenment?

They were both an "Age of Reason", being that they both wanted people to renew their thinking into logical thinking, and putting their religious beliefs behind their logic (they can still keep their religion, but they can't use it as the reason for literally everything).

People live for their beliefs and die for them?

There is some truce to this question. There are two parts to this. People live because of what they believe. People believe in many things. Some believe in enjoying life by seeking relationships which in turn makes them happy. You can conclude that they live in order to enjoy their happiness. People do die when their beliefs are threated and they react in physical defense. It is an important entity in their life they want to exercise unrestricted, unmonitored, and undistrubed. Yet not all beliefs are worth dying for.

Why do people believe that the big bang is fake?

Mainstream scientists do NOT believe it is fake. It is generally accepted. Of course, you will always find people who disagree, perhaps for philosophical or religious reasons.Mainstream scientists do NOT believe it is fake. It is generally accepted.
