First of all it is a short story of the Fantasy type. it is not to different from that one about the Chinese angler and the talking fish that grants Three wishes. The whole thing is rife with childish superstition, but it does no moralize about gambling. I am not aware of any movie done about it, the whole thing can easily be encapsuled, even if you add subplots in a half-hour show like the Flintstones type. It does not have enough (meat) for a 90 minute or more Movie.

The book "The Monkey's Paw" by W.W. Jacobs was written in 1902 and the movie adaptations may vary in terms of details and interpretations. The book is a classic short story that explores themes of fate and consequence with a twist ending, while movies may adapt the story differently to suit the medium of film, potentially altering the plot, characters, or setting.
