The air is drawn in through the vents in the front of your windshield. The filter keep dirt, dust and junk from entering your air-conditioner and cabin when you turn on a fan. I usually get between 50 and 60,000 miles between changes. On my 2003 4Runner and my 2008 Tundra it's located right behind the glove box. I don't know where your is located but I'll bet it's in the same place. It the same place for the FJ cruiser, Prius and Sienna. Instructions usually come with a new cabin filter so check the box.
nope
The best type of oil to use in a 2000 Toyota Avalon is 5w20. This provides a good balance of viscosity with the ability to work in most temperatures.
NO It has NOTHING to do with defrost.
HEY BEEVIS....NOTHING will work after you disconnect the battery......DUHHHHH !!!!!
As far as I'm told, you don't. 2006 Scion Xa's came with a tray where the filter would go, but there is no "Cabin Filter" for this vehicle. According to two of my Toyota/Scion dealers, though a filter might be made to fit, doing so would restrict the air flow because the vehicle air/venting system is designed to work without one. You can check with your Scion dealer, but this is what I was told when I was unable to find a cabin filter's at the parts stores and later, Scion parts itself.
The rear side window in a 1998 Toyota Avalon can jam if there is a problem in the window motors or the switches. A faulty switch may not complete the circuit needed to operate the window.
Passenger side under the dash. Remove the screw and the plastic cover drops down and then you can slide the cabin air filter out.
The cabin air filter is behind the glove box. However it is usually not there and you wind up using one from another similar model. or I have heard that a piece of furnace filter will work. I am using a WIX 24882 cabin air filter for other GM vehicles. Bought it on Amazon.
could be the starter motor
First try to look in the info book that came with the car, if that doesn't work see a mechanic. Or cunsult your Toyota dealer.
try using a higher grade of gasolineif that dosent work takeit in to have your timing checked.
It's easy: on the 2007, 2008, 2009 Tundra and the 2003 4 Runner are all in the same place. I suspect it's the same for most Tundras and 4 runners. However replacement instructions come with the new cabin air filter when you buy it. For the 2007, 8 ,9 and 2003 4 runner, it is behind the lower glove box. Just open glove box disconnect the little piston rod on the right side then squeeze in the side supports so the glove box will open way down. The cabin filter it right behind the glove box. You will see a snap on door that covers the filter. Pull it off and slide out the filter. This may work for the 2001 Tundra. But remember instructions come packed with the new cabin air filter so check for them when you get a new one.
