Air conditioning is run using a cooling system. You place anti-freeze in the motor.
INCORRECT!
An air conditioning system is independent on the vehicle's cooling system, save for example, a vehicle with a serpentine drive system, where the same belt runs the cooling system and is also used to run the AC compressor.
Refrigerant in the AC system is pressurised, and, depending on which part of the system it is in, will either be in vapor or liquid form.
There are two sides to any AC system - high pressure side and low pressure side. The high pressure side extends from the condenser outlet to the metering device inlet (which will either be a Fixed Orifice Tube or a Thermal Expansion Valve). As refrigerant moves through the compressor, it becomes a high pressure vapor. It then goes to the condenser, where the heat of the refrigerant is exchanged to the air which flows through the condenser. It is important for the AC system to function that this vapor is hotter than the ambient air going through the condenser. The other essential part in how an AC system functions is the evaporator coil. Heated air and humidity is drawn from the passenger cabin and the heat is exchanged to the refrigerant in the evaporator, which in turn transforms the refrigerant from being in a low pressure liquid state to being in a low pressure vapor state.
The car seats because of the extra energy it needs for the AC compressor work
Yes. They do. The Diablo's was pointless, but newer ones have ac's that work.
They are separate systems...
Take the car to a garage that services AC. There is costly equipment and knowledge needed to do AC work correctly.
the system needs to be recharged with refrigerant
it filters the outside air so that your car can use it for ac and not have to work so hard
All car ac's work like most any other ac. I don't know of any car ac's that work like heat pumps that both heat and cool. Every car I have seen provides heat thru a heating core which is heated from the water circulated from the engine. , EzForJesus
Might be a bad heater control
yes u can just get a belt for your car but w/o ac and follow the diagram that's under the hood
Indirectly it does. Gasoline powers the engine which powers the AC. Without the engine running the AC doesn't work. Also on many cars the AC will cause the cars gas mileage to be lower if it is running at maximum AC.
yes, because the ac runs off the engine and puts more stress on your engine and has to work harder.(work hard waste gas)
Get your local garage to check the heater matrix
