The cell membrane is partially permeable and it is designed in a way such that only particular objects can enter and leave; the process by which they enter and exit the cell is known as diffusion which occurs due to osmosis.
Cell membrane have proteins embedded in them that act as channels for things to enter and leave the cell. Furthermore, the fact that the membrane is non-polar will block any polar molecules from entering but will allow non-polar molecules such as hormones to enter.
well the nuclei controls the whole cell, and the cell membrane lets certain materials pass through. it kinda has something like a wall, and it lets certain things out. I'm not sure if that answered your question.....
Diffusion. Concentration of molecules travel from high concentration to low concentration areas.
* it goes to the ER so that is it ==

Some of the proteins and lipids do control movement of materials into and out of the cell.
To put it simply, it is the cell membrane. You can have transport vesicles ect, but the cell membrane is the main barrier between inside and outside. It contains pumps, channels and proteins that are in charge of communication and also control movement of everything from inside and outside. hhh

The plasma membrane selectively controls movement of materials into and out of the cell, and has receptors for hormones and enzymes. The generic term for these two processes is endocytosis (material moved into the cell) and exocytosis (movement of material out of the cell).
A cell membrane surrounds all cells and controls the movement of substances.

It is the cytoplasmic membrane. The dynamic boundary of cell
