That depends on the liquid and the solid. Liquid Mercury has a very high density. Liquid gasoline has a very low density. At the melting point the density of a liquid and a solid are almost the same.

Is density of liquid have lower density of solid?

That depends on the liquid and the solid. Coal is a solid with a very low density. Mercury is a liquid with a very high density.

Is a solid and a liquid density?

no because solid is hard not a liquid

How does the density of a body and that of a liquid determine that whether the body will float or sink into that liquid?

If the density of the solid body is greater than the density of the liquid the bodywill sink. If the density of the liquid is greater than the density of the solid thebody will float. If the solid and the liquid have the same density, the solid body can be any whereinside the liquid and may move following currents if they exist in the liquid.Read more:How_does_the_density_of_a_body_and_that_of_a_liquid_determine_that_whether_the_body_will_float_or_sink_into_that_liquid

How the density of a solid and a liquid compare?

Density is the amount of matter in a given volume. The particles in a solid state are tightly packed together, therefore a solid sate would have a greater density then a liquid, and gas. The particles in a liquid state are together, but are able to move and slide by one another. This density is not as great as a solid state. Particles in a gaseous state are spread very far apart, and moving a lot. A gas would not have a large density. The particle theory of matter affects both masse, volume, density, and viscosity.

Solid or liquid argon have greater density?

Matter has more density when solid than when in a liquid state. The atoms are closer together.

How do liquid and solid volumes compare?

water

Does liquid have density?

Yes. The density of a liquid is usually close to that of a solid, and much higher than in a gas.

How does the density of water (ice) compare with the density of water (liquid)?

Ice is less dense than liquid water.

What happens if density of a solid substance is more than liquid it is placed?

The solid cannot float in this liquid.

What happens if density of a solid substance is more than liquid?

It sinks in the liquid. A steel bolt has a density greater that that of water. Drop it in water, it sinks.
