Endocrine system which is formed of all endocrine glands of body which along with nervous system of body, controls and coordinates the body functions and maintains a homestasis inside the body. Thoughs different endocrine glands are different in embroynic origin and are isolated from one another but these interact with one another so collectively form an endocrine system. The secreation of endocrine glands are known as hormones like insulin which control blood sugar level.

The glands that make up the endocrine system and the hormones they release influence almost every cell, organ, and function of the body. The endocrine system regulates mood, growth, development, tissue function, metabolism, including sexual function and reproductive processes endocrine system controls body processes that happen slowly, like cell growth, The faster processes like breathing and body movement are controlled by the nervous system. The nervous system and endocrine system are separate systems, however they often work together to help the bodies proper operation

There is no such organ as an endocrine. The endocrine system is made up of glands that secrete hormones directly into the blood stream (not via a duct) for example, pituitary gland, adrenal glands, thyroid, testes, ovaries. This is in contrast to exocrine glands which secrete into ducts e.g. salivary glands
