Some farmers put a raddle harness on the ram which has a crayon color segment so that when the ram mounts the ewe it leaves a colour mark on the ewes back
sheep sheep dont ya know the road yes my lord i know the road dont ya know the road thats been playin in the song yes lord i know the road
The answer is provided within the riddle. The farmer has 18 sheep, all but 8 die. That means 10 sheep die, and 8 are left. This question is not about arithmetic, but reading comprehension. You don't want to calculate 18-8=10; that's what makes the riddle tricky. You need to know that "all but 8" means "all the sheep except 8."
If you want a ram for breeding, go to a sheep farmer before lambing season and order one. There are quite a few sheep farms in Idaho. The farmer needs to know you want a ram (an intact male sheep) before they're born, because it's pretty routine to castrate most or all the ram lambs born in a lamb crop.
Sheep are not known to be smart, this however is controversial. Sheep are pack animals, meaning they are more comfortable in a group of other sheep. Once one sheep goes somewhere they all will follow, which is not very ideal for the farmer when trying to separate them for various reasons. All animals are smart, you just have to know how to work with them and think like them.
To mark which sheep is theirs, to mark which ones are going to market, to mark what sheep they may have given medication to. Farmers may also put a harness on a ram with raddle in it so they know which ewes the ram has served.
hello, the only thing i know is that on Christmas we serve ribs, fish and pinnekjøtt, that's salted ribs of a sheep. i hope this helps a little ;)
I don’t know
Someone who has the experience in handling, feeding, and caring for these animals. They have to know what the animals eat, what makes them sick, their breeding schedules/behaviour, conformation, etc. People who look after sheep are called shepherds, and those who own/look after cattle are called cattlemen/-women.
we'll wouldn't you normally get it off of a sheep? it is where wool would be found because of the fact that farmers shave their sheep for that purpose... sometimes you get it from a dog you never know....
