To play different notes, you do different fingerings. The opening and closing of the buttons makes the length the air has to travel through the Flute shorter or longer, shorter being higher, longer being lower. But there's more to that than that. Also, to change the pitch of a note to make it more flat or sharp, you "roll in" or "roll out" at the mouth piece your mouth. It's typically not good to do that, since it messes up the tone quality. The best way is to drop your jaw to make flat and raise your jaw to make sharp. Not your head, just your jaw, though it helps to keep your head up the whole time.

It depends on the kind of instrument. On brass instruments, you can move the slide that is closest to the mouthpiece. Pull it out to lower the pitch; push it in to raise it. On clarinets and flutes, you can pull out the mouthpiece.
to do it from the mind, you have to play it in pitch a lot. It will be hard if you don't have perfect pitch. to change pitch, on the flute, you pull out the head joint.
Flute changes pitch by the amount of air blown into it. Less air=low ; more air=high
Changes in embouchure, or lengthening the instrument by adjusting the mouthpiece.
you raise the pitch of a flute by making your embouchure hole smaller and having faster air
This was very helpful
thank you!
you hump it.
The piccolo has the highest pitch, then the standard flute, and then alto.
A flute has a high pich and a sorta low pitch. Low C or B on flute and pro flute are pretty low but high C on flute is REALLY high, but mostly it is high. If you want a really high instrument try the piccolo. If you are really good at flute go on the piccolo. Ihope I answered your question.
Alto flute has a lower pitch than a normal flute.
To soften the volume of the flute's sound, one must simply use less air. Changing the embouchure will only change the flute's pitch. To increase the volume, use more air. Open your throat and make sure you know the difference between more air and faster air. Faster air and a tighter embouchure will make the pitch higher, rather than louder.
flute
Holes on the flute are covered and uncovered to change the way air passes through the instrument.
The flute is a C pitch instrument.

If the flute is made of sections slotted together. I would think that slightly pulling apart one or more joints would lengthen the flute thus reducing it's pitch

it doesn't a clarinet is of a lower pitch than a flute
The flute is a non-transposing instrument. Whatever pitch is written in the music is the note that will sound when the flute is played.
You can transpose flute music for clarinet music. Flute is on concert pitch, most clarinets are not. Example: A flute's Bb is a clarinet's C. Bb= B flat
it was played like a flute but has a higher pitch.
