light is a stream of small packets called photons travelling very fast. it is a part of electromagnetic spectrum because it has both elecrtic and magnetic fields. elcrtomagnetis spectrum is a collection of all waves including "V, G, R, M, X" visible light, gamma rays, radio waves, microwaves, and x-rays. :)
