The M1 Carbin is a semiautomatic carbine that has a magazine. It can hold from 10 to 30 rounds in each magazine. It was built in America and shoots a bullet similar to a pistol bullet, but a bit bigger. The KAR98K was built in Germany, it shoots an 8mm round (similar to a 30-06). It is bolt action and has a far longer range.
They were produced by German firearms manufacturers, like Karabiner, who created and produced the Kar98k - or Mauser - rifle.
Depends on condition, model year, coat of arms on receiver, rifle or carbine, manufacturer, etc. $50 to $700. Email me with specifics if you'd like.
The Germans did.
A carbine is a type of rifle.
That depended on which army they were in. The infantrymen of Britain and Canada mostly carried the Lee-Enfield 0.303 rifle. The American Army mostly carried the the M1903 Springfield 30.06 or the M1 Garand Carbine. The Germans usually carried the Mauser Karabiner 98K. -Other troops of all armies carried more 'role specific' weapons such as sub-machine guns, light machine guns and pistols. This is a huge subject, you will benefit from a visit to the library or just to Google " WW2 weapons".That depended on which army they were in. Depends on which carbine. No one carbine, no one answer.
The Mauser es340b was a single shot .22 long rifle. It was made too look and feel like a Mauser 98K. It is not a sniper rifle. It is a target rifle.
Best left to a Mauser trained gunsmith
