Depends on the branch and the squad/ squadron. In my squadron we work out 3 times a week, Monday is a 4 mile jog, Wednesday is a 2.6 mile run and 3 minutes of free weights, and Friday is usually a calisthenics workout for an hour. This is USAF and I work at a desk job, so I imagine that if your job is more physically orientated that you will do a bit more.
That's is true it depends on what you job is and what type of command you are serving at. One thing that all services try to make uniform in regards to physical fitness, Cardiovascular training, is the goal but not always the case. Bottom line, as long as you can keep up, and you don't know what the word QUIT means, you will be fine physical fitness is just a perk of the job after that. If you want to join find out the requirements for whatever service you plan on joining and work towards that goal. When you are confident in your running, strength, and mental readiness you will do fine. If you are serious about it you will out perform most, and you will have the rest of you enlistment to improve.
