I assume you mean 35mm "rangefinder" (not SLR).

All of this is from memory, so reader beware.

Here's a site that shows the Model 95 (the first production model) and that gives some specs: http://www.eastman.org/fm/timeline-cameras/htmlsrc/mP762100002_ful.html

Polaroid film size was much larger than 35mm.

Polaroid film came in a film-pack as opposed to the canister for 35mm.

Polaroid did not produce a negative--no negative-to-positive transfer.

Range of emulsions was available for 3mm.

Number of frames available per roll greater for 35mm.

Ability to load 35mm film in canisters with varying number of shots.

Polaroid processing was on-the-spot.

Polaroid film came in only BW (more accurately, Sepia).

Not every early Polaroid had rangefinder assist.

Slow lens on Polaroid (probably 6.3 max, but with Waterhouse system).

Polaroid was bulky.

No self-timer on Polaroid.

Some 35mm lenses -- Contax and Leica, for example -- were peerless.

Some 35 mm cameras had interchangeable lenses. Polaroid did not.

Some 35mm cameras were cheaper than the $89 Polaroid (the famous Argus C3, for example, was $39).

Film advance on 35mm might cock the shutter. Not so on Polaroid.

Flash sync may not have been available on first Polaroids. I think that an external accessory may have been available.

Sorry. I omitted another major difference: The Polaroid was a "folding camera," with a pull-out/collapsible bellows (which you will see if you visit the Web site I listed.

What is 35mm camera?

In photography, a 35mm camera is a camera that shoots 35mm film (typically produced by Kodak or Fuji). These include consumer cameras with a fixed lens, disposible cameras, and professional SLR (single lens reflex) cameras. In motion pictures, 35mm cameras refer to any motion picture camera that shoots, 35mm or Super 35mm film (again, Kodak or Fuji). This is opposed to 16mm, Super 16mm, 8mm, and Super 8mm cameras.

How much money did Polaroid film cost in all the years it was sold?

I can tell you it was really expensive. When the SX-70 camera came out (the first Polaroid that didn't require you peel the film apart after it developed), the film was almost $7 for ten shots. 35mm film, by comparison, was about $4 for a 36-exposure roll.

A 35mm Leica is any camera made by the camera manufacter Leica, that captures the photograph on 35mm photographic film. Some might use the term to describe a Leica that has a digital image sensor with the same size as 35mm film, but a more common term for this is "full frame" Leica.

What would lenses for a 120film camera equate to in the 35mm film lens standard?

The focal length would roughly double. For example, if you have a 60mm lens for a Hasselblad, and managed to hack it to fit a 35mm camera, that same 60mm lens would be roughly 120mm in a 35mm camera.

Can you use 35 mm film for a Diana camera?

You cannot use 35mm film in a Diana without modification. The original Chinese-made 1960's Diana camera was chambered only for 120 roll film and probably will not accept the accessory 35mm film back that is currently manufactured for the newer Diana clones called Diana+ and Diana F+.There is a competing Chinese plastic camera called the Holga 135BC which is chambered for 35mm film. Holga also made a 120 roll film model about the same time that the original Dianas were made.
