When the impact of the rain hits the windshield it sends a shock wave throught the windshield that is then picked up by an adhesive sensor attached to the windshield, which in turn activates the windshield wiper relay.
On my 2000 xk8 you keep the setting on the first click, this may be the intermittent setting, just leave it there. When you get into your car with rain already on the windshield you must first pull the stalk toward you, it will then re-sense the rain hitting the windshield. Jems
how do you remove camshaft sensor on jaguar xj8
PFM
You have automatic rain sensing wipers and this is the sensor for the rain. If you turn the wipers all the way off or on, the light goes out.
I do believe that the oil sensor in a 1996 Jaguar tells you how much oil you have and it tells you the oil temperature.
Jaguar's live in Rain forests and Jungles.
Nothing eats it. The Jaguar is an apex predator.
They work by the sensor getting rain on it and if it is getting a lot on it then it will speed up the wipers and if it gets less then it will slow them down. Its on the top of your windshield right behind the mirror. ---- Yes, quite an obvious statement of fact; what the OP was hoping for was an answer to his question. ----
Jaguars primarily inhabit the rainforests, swamps, and grasslands of Central and South America, including countries such as Brazil, Mexico, and Costa Rica. They are solitary animals that have a wide range, but are most commonly found near water sources and dense vegetation for hunting.
