The Service Academy Nominations is very rigorous, in terms of its selection process.
In order to apply for one, you'd have to do the following...
1) Go on Google and SEARCH the person in your district whom you're looking for, in terms of the one you would like to nominate you for.
2) Click on their website, and search for "Service Academy Nomination". (It will surely be at website, so don't miss it!)
3) The Congress Man/Woman would surely provide you a link to their applications in which you'd have to fill out and mailed to them!
4) The process is difficult because you're up against people who are in your district. So once you've been selected, you will be placed in a group of selectees for nomination.
5) Normally, it would be 1-2 people selected for nomination.
---Hope this helps!

All 5! There is no actual limit to how many Service Academies to which you can apply, and most applicants apply to more than one. HOWEVER, there are often limits when the APPLICANT requests a Nomination -usually from a Member of Congress. Nominations are independent of the application and required for most Academies. That requirement, separate from the application is what makes being accepted to all 5 not practical. So you can APPLY to all 5 Service Academies ( USNA, USMA, USAFA, USCGA, and USMMA ), but many Members Of Congress limit their Nominations, and a Nomination is required by each Service Academy before the Applicant is offered a place at that Service Academy. So you need 4 different Nominations to be accepted to all 5 Service Academies.

This age limit applies to active-duty service members and those in the reserves. Additionally, candidates need to meet other requirements, such as completing certain educational prerequisites and obtaining a nomination.
