If we compare a Cheetah with a Leopard we can see a substantial difference it the length and general mass of the legs of each of these cats.

The Cheetah is a streamlined lithe cat that is structurally designed to capture prey using its speed

and agility. It's legs are slender with claws that do not retract.

The Leopard is an ambush predator that relies on stealth and power when capturing prey and it's legs are much heavier muscled with thicker bone.

Organisms that are unrelated can fill the same niche in different regions and often have similar structural adaptations.
