Most certainly. This is a trauma and the child should have had counseling after the event. Look at all the children (not to mention adults) from the flooding in New Orleans after Hurricane Catrina (two natural disasters.) People don't realize that a child of 4 or 5 does know when something is wrong even though they may not understand it. They just simply are afraid. Please consider counseling for the child.
