They may eat a plastic bag, thinking that it is a jellyfish. The water can also be polluted and poison them. Their food dies, so they have nothing to eat. The beaches where they lay their eggs are polluted so they have a harder time finding a spot to make a nest.
The main problem with oil is that it doesn't dilute, it doesn't mix and it takes a long time to break down; so, when turtles come in contact with the pollutant in the ocean in its concentrated and refined form, it can be particularly harmful.
* Swallowing the contaminated water and digesting organisms covered in oil can cause digestive and intestinal problems. * The oil burns eyes and skin, and damages sensitive membranes in the nose, eyes and mouth.
* Hydrocarbons can trigger pneumonia if it enters the lungs and can damage red blood cells when entering the bloodstream * Turtle eggs are porous, so oil that seeps into the sand and tidal waters of the shore can penetrate the turtle eggs. Toxins in the oil can cause developmental problems during this fragile stage of the turtle's life.
Water pollution can affect land animals because when they drink it they get sick. It can affect aquatic life by different things depending on what kind of pollution it is
it does not effect its enviroment,or other animals that live in it
yes because they think that plastic bags are jelly fish.
i think it can hurt them
oil spills and pollution in the ocean
Green sea turtles live in salty water.
Yes but sea turtles don't come out of the water like most turtles
Water pollution is known as the most harmful, and serious environmental problems the Earth has. With it, it harms the areas of water of which contain thousands of sea life. Not only that, but as humans, it can also create such diseases to harm the human body's inside.
In the Sea
Since pollution is a big impact on endangering sea turtles there are not many left in our big planet. To estimate on what I've been researching there are about 40,00o sea turtles left in the world. Hope this little bit of information helps:)
Yes it does hurt them.
in the water
Light, like that of a full moon so the sea turtles can find the ocean.

They (as well as tortoises, their close relatives in the reptile world) have protective shells. Turtle also live in the water, sometimes even the sea.
