when wethering and erosion happens, parts of the land are swept away by things like water or wind. that carries them away and deposits them some where else. that leaves a new formation such as the arches in arches national park. they were formed the the Colorado River and it left the arch shapes in its place.

What has the most impact on the formation of a sinkhole erosion weathering or deposition?

weathering because the main cause of a sinkhole is mostly rain which is a part of weathering

How does erosion impact the earth and land forms?

Erosion is not an "impact" process, it is a gradual, degrading process.

Which is not a factor that affects the rate in weathering rocks?

There are not many factors which do not affect weathering in rocks. Two factors do not affect weathering are:Wind, sea and river erosion does not have any impact. No erosive processes cause weathering directly. Glaciers, however, may influence the climate of a region to the extent that more freeze-thaw weathering occursThe rock cycle does not affect weathering. This includes all actions and movements of rocks, though uplift and fault movement may cause more exposure to weathering, which may increase the rate of weathering

How are fragments transported and abraded?

There are a few different ways. By the current in the water. By explosive volcanic eruptions. By erosion and wind. By gravity. By glaciers. By icebergs. By human/animal movement. By meteor impact. By landslides.

What does weathering and erosion have on rocks?

Weathering is when it rains and has a vary amount of wind and different types of weather. Erosion is when he rocks deform to different shapes. So it has a HUGE Impact because it changes the look of the rock.

Is there weathering erosion or deposition on the Moon?

There is deposition - from the impact of meteors colliding with the moon.

Was the okefenokee swamp created by destructive force erosion weathering impact of organisms earthquake volcano?

NO

What processes impact all of earth's land features and play a part in creating new rocks?

Folding and banding

How do living things impact weathering and erosion?

Living things move sediments and soil from one place to another. Plants break down things with mechanical weathering.

What are 4 processes that shape Earth's surface?

Erosion, volcanic eruptions, sun flares, and earthquakes.

What do weathering and erosion processes on Mars involve?

Weathering factors on Mars could include abrasion, hot/cold differentials, frost heave, meteor impact and faulting. Erosional factors would probably be limited to those caused by wind and gravity, although there is some evidence of water erosion.

Why would you not find sedimentary rocks on the moon?

Sedimentary rocks are formed by the weathering, erosion and then deposition of the resultant clasts. Weathering and erosion do not occur on the moon (except to a limited extent due to the impact of meteorites but this material is not compacted so is a dust rather than a rock) so sedimentary rocks can't form.

Is there any dirt on the moon?

There is dirt and sand on the moon because you don't have to have water to have erosion and weathering. The rocks on the moon are weathered by cold and by impact from meteors.

Why is the earths surface not covered by the same impact craters?

First, we have a nice thick atmosphere that deals with many meteors. Secondly, weathering and erosion erase the marks fairly quickly.
