use a thermometer. We can feel how hot or cold something is. However, sometimes things are just too hot or cold for us to feel safely. At other times we need to know exactly how hot or cold something is. When we need to measure temperature correctly we need to use an instrument called a thermometer. This measures temperature in degrees Celsius [sometimes called centigrade] or degrees Fahrenheit. There are different types of thermometers for different situations. A medical thermometer, for example, needs to be very accurate. It measures in fractions of degrees. When we are ill, even tiny changes in temperature are important. Some thermometers use a liquid that moves up a very fine glass tube. Most room thermometers, and outdoor thermometers are like this. The liquid is either mercury [ which is poisonous] or coloured alcohol. As liquids get warmer they expand [get bigger], and move up the tube. Water expands too, but not as much as alcohol and mercury. Thermometers that might be used by small children are not made of glass. They use a digital display which lights up the temperature. Inside the displays are chemicals that change colour according to the temperature.
The traditional mercury thermometer has the mercury in a narrow glass tube with the readings/markings etched into the glass so it is neither analogue nor digital. I thought it was analogue.
A thermometer is an instrument that measures cold and heat, together with temperature variations.

Leather is regarded as the most durable traditional material for a handbag.
A clock thermometer is useful when someone wants to know both the temperature and time in a convenient location. These clocks are available in both a traditional format as well as a digital format.

So you can see the temperature it is telling youSo it is durable if you put it in hot or cold substancesGlass is much nicer than plastic
Durable income is a strategy for optimizing the performance of a traditional retirement portfolio in order to help investors maintain the income necessary to fund the lifestyles they enjoy throughout retirement.

Bamboo flooring is a viable eco-friendly option to traditional wood floors. It is just as durable, and very attractive. Indeed they are as durable if not more so. Bamboo has great tensile strength while it retains the ability to give and expand under pressure and temp changes. The only woods that might be better are ash and hickory, but you will have to pay big time for those.

The liquid is mercury; it has now been replaced with a cheaper and safer chemical.
Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin.
The eardrum, because it is recessed and less affected by external temperatures, is an extremely accurate point to measure body temperature. It is actually quicker than using a traditional glass medical thermometer. with the risk of the glass tube breaking.
