18" is standard (same as the distance between the counter and upper cabinets), and most modern cabinets that microwaves are suspended from are built for this.
15" from cooktop to bottom of microwave minimum.
the microwave needs to be 19 inches away from the cook top. like in this picture there should be 19 inches above the cooktop . the microwave should have a vent hood. this should be right but in most manual it tells you how far away is necessary
A microwave or kettle. (Preferably a microwave, and not for long.)
to avoid burning accidents
You should be able to just take the microwave out with the trash and the garbage men should take it away for you.
Typically, the handle of a pot should face away from the front of the stove, particularly if there are small children that may curiously grab at the exposed handle.
If the stove was designed with legs (most are) then you should have legs on the stove. This is to keep the very hot parts of the stove away from things that can burn. Some masonry stoves do not have legs- but weigh several tons, and will never get hot enough to cause a fire.
It never went away.
It sounds as though it has gone bad. You should throw it away. If not, try to microwave it for about 20 seconds or less to soften it up.
It never went away.

You should pour hot water down your drain. Hot water will open up your drain quickly. If you don't have hot water put some on the stove and unclog away, and this should work.
