i hav a 2001 dodge 1500 wt the 360 5.9 it has a 35 gallon tank and if my gf's math is correct i get just under 417 miles frm a full tank at 14 mpg
A 50/50 mix of Antifreeze and distilled water goes in the radiator. You also want to fill the coolant recovery tank to the full mark.
Remove the filler neck hose from the tank and insert a siphon hose. Be careful if the tank is more than 3/4 full.
You should be able to get 325 miles on a full 20 gallons of gas.
The gas tank has to be removed to get at the access panel for the pump. The tank is reused.
It may be a problem with the sensor, which is located in the gas tank itself. If this is the case, the gas tank will have to be removed and exchanged for a tank with a working sensor. Needless to say, this is a job for a mechanic with a lift available.
