Ít's about 71.25 miles (114 km) butuan to surigao city, a short distance by US standards but pretty good days trip by Philippine travel modes, ie jeepney, bus or the converted jeepney like vans. It takes 1 hour 27 minutes by car on the pan-philippine highway. I've made the trip before, and know how it goes but am currently trying to find bus terminal info and schedules for it for my fiancees mother flying into butuan from manila the 12th or 13th of this month, just a few days from now. you wouldn't happen to know the bus company name, terminal location schedule or prices would you?
its not a bad trip along coconut farms and fields and carabaos standing around eating grass, except for roughness of the roads, causing slow travel that feels like super sonic speed at times.
