A "league" is three nautical miles. In the Jules Verne story, the submarine Nautilus traveled "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea", a distance that is (very approximately) 1/4 the circumference of the Earth (circumference of the earth is 24,900 miles).

So to answer your question in basic math...

1 league = 3 miles.

2000 * 3 = 6000 Miles..

Final Answer: 6000 miles.
