Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders, Belgium. Brussels is the capital of Belgium.
In the airport, take the train to the center of Brussels. The railway station is clearly indicated. Most of the trains leaving from the airport head to the centre, a few however head in the direction of Leuven, you don't want to be on those trains. Get off of the train in the station of Brussels North (it says on the blue signs "Brussel Noord" and "Bruxelles Nord") and hop on any of the trains to Bruges. Mostly you will want to look for trains heading to Ostend (Oostende) or Blankenberge, those always stop in Bruges.
