After Jesus performs a miracle inside the synagogue, we come to verse 29: "And forthwith (or right away), when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon (Peter) and Andrew, with James and John." And so we see that Peter's house must have been in or very near the city of Capernaum. This account of Jesus going to Peter's house is also recorded in Matthew chapter 8, and Luke 4:31-39.
