Adderall affects everyone differently, so it is all about how much is taken and how often. Adderall XR will most likely cause loss of appetite (more so than regular Adderall). It all depends on how much you eat in a day. I take Adderall XR and there are times when I do not eat until dinner time. It varies for everyone.

One of the side effects of it is that you lose your appetite. Because it is a stimulant, it also speeds up your metabolic rate. But that does not guarentee you will lose weight.
You might eat less and have more energy. The combination of those two things (decrease calories and increased activity) is what makes you lose weight.

If you take the Adderall and eat the same way and do not increase your activity you MIGHT see a slight loss of weight but most likely that will be water weight since Adderall makes you pee more frequently (watch for dehydration)
I've been taking it for 6 years. I initially lost 30lbs on it but over the years I have put 20 of that back on because of my lifestyle.
This is no miracle drug to lose weight. AND, if you are not getting this drug legally and under a doctor's prescription/supervision, you could do some serious damage to your health.
