This depends on what its doing. Just crusing around or in a chase. I have paced a Merlin at 50 mph and it looked like it wasing giving any effort. I have also flown a Merlin in falconry and seen it outfly a pigeon in a dead run. I would guess anywhere from 50 to 60 mph's in a strait run and faster in a stoop.
