ive had a few different vehicles with the option to turn on/off the overdrive. a few mechanics have told me just to leave the thing in normal drive and don't mess with it. there are very few situations where it needs to be off. it seems to cause more tranny probs by switching it off and on all the time. just put it in D when you start to move and leave OD alone.
