i would guess no more then 10mph but prob an average of 8mph we have a 250hp 26ft tri toon that does 30 - 35mph
There are many different types of pontoon boats, but I assume you're asking about your basic 18' rectangular boat with two or three aluminum pontoons. Most of these boats have 50-100 horsepower engines which will allow them to cruise around 15mph and top out around 20-25 mph.
A 50 HP Johnson on a 20' Lowe Suncruiser goes 18 MPH max. That is at 5000 RPM, the trim at its maximum potential position and a whole lot of gas.
I have a 12x22 on my 50 hp merc-2010 model , pushing a 20 ft. Toon. Does great.
Speed is dependant on a number of factors. Most importantly the size, type and weight of the boat that it is on and the number of people on board. A 50 HP outboard will push a small aluminum fishing boat a lot fast than it will a 20 ft fiberglass boat. I have a 50 HP 2 stroke that will push a 16 foot aluminum boat 35 MPH.
A lot of it depends on the boat; a new clean fiberglass bass boat with a smooth bottom will take less fuel than a 50-year-old aluminum pontoon boat with rows of rivets running down the middle of the pontoons.
Your vision at 20ft is my vision at 50ft.
depends on the boat style and weight. for example my dads Lund deep V 19ft fishing boat hit 27mph with his 50 horse
it can be 50 to 60 ft tall
the 50 ft AMG model with twin 1350 hp motors will probably do about 135 mph
20 times 50 divided by three is 333 1/3
