Food goes into the digestive tract (Gastro- intestinal passage), In the stomach and in the upper part of the small intestine the digestion is mostly complete. From there it is absorbed into the blood through the lining of the intestines.

Thus the food is absorbed into the body and is distributed throughout the body.
