If you buy their more expensive products (in other words, those typically found at prices greater than $50.00 list) I'd say they're very good. I bought an Armitron digital/analog watch in the early '90's to serve as a back up watch when the batteries would go out no my Seiko (which cost nearly 5 times as much). The Seiko, which was my daily watch for nearly 20 years finally died, but the Armitron is still running. Granted, it hasn't been subjected to the abuse and day to day use the Seiko did, but the fact that it's kept running, needing only battery replacements and no servicing says something. The watch also keeps very accurate time, losing about 5 seconds/month. This back up Armitron that I bought originally listed for $59.95, but it was a close out when I bought it and got it for $39.95.
I had another Armitron prior to the Seiko and the later "back up" Armitron, and it was great as well .... until it fell into the Atlantic Ocean (hardly Armitron's fault!!).
I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of their better quality pieces at all.
A number of large discount stores and department stores sell Armitron watches. Specifically, you can find them at Kohl's, Target, and JC Penny (both online and in-store).
The best place to buy an Armitron watch is at a male jewelry outlet. For example, Barneys sells expensive watches, as does Amazon. To find the best watch you must go to a jewelry outlet for men.
The E. Gluck Corporation founded in 1956 manufactures the Armitron brand of wristwatch. They are headquartered in Little Neck, New York.
Armitron watches have a wide range of costs depending on the type of watch you are looking for. They range between $20 to $200, the average watch costs around $100.
Well they always say "America's Watch" so I would think America BUT if it says China then it was probably made in China for Armitron, which most people wear in America.
Dress watches commonly have diamond chips, less than 0.1 carat, as hour markers. Depending on your commerce laws, if a watch is advertised as diamond, you can assume that it has some diamonds.
yep
Visit the Armitron website and click on "Manuals" on the home page.
Depends. It can have a retail sale of around ten dollars.... or it could be worth a few hundred. It's different depending on the watch itself. I sell watches in retail. We have the same brand offering fifteen dollar watches and 130 watches. There are some brands that exclusively make nicer watches... but Watch-it, Timex, Casio, Armitron.... many make items at both ends of the price spectrum.
The best way to reset an Armitron 40-8249 is to take it to a watchwaker or jeweler who knows the equipment. Armitron does have a detailed manual available on their website, however.
