Work hard and stay in a schedule of running at the least 45 mins a day. Alternate between running hills distance and sprints. That is what I did my first season and I took my time from 25:11 down to 20:36 at the end of the season. The next year my PR was set at 19:01
To be competitive, a low 19 would be good. I run 18:09 as a freshman and is considered elite.
5k?
yes that is very good but there are also a number of factors to consider such as what school you go to, what your times are, etc. But judging from my past experiences in cross country that is very good.
No, sorel footwear is not good for cross-country running. It is not good because the company only manufactures boots. Boots are not ideal for cross-country running.
Yes Cross Timbers is a good school! Even if the school only has two grades in it (5th and 6th).
What motivated you to start running cross country? How do you prepare for races mentally and physically? Can you share a memorable race experience or accomplishment? How do you balance academics with your rigorous training schedule?
Canada and Norway, although, pretty much all winter sport countries have good cross country skiers.
weatbix :)
well... that all depends on the amount of energy, the course, and the feeling of the runner at that specific time. i race cross country and the winner for my jr high school is at a 5:40 mile... good but not the best. so no there is no specific fastest cross country runner. For a 5k (3.1 miles), which is what high schoolers run the best time is 15:02. Evan Apple used to run at my school and he ran at a time of 15:10. He was 3rd in the nation. Craig Lutz is the fastest high school cross country runner in the nation.
Cross Country. It incorporates running. I do cross country, but not track... in the track season I play softball! :) I think you should to XC if you can run at least 2 miles without getting tired!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a trick, NOTHING can replace running. NOTHING, cross-country would be best. I did cross-country first then did track to keep me in the running mood. Cross-country is a very good running sport, and is much more competitive. But sometimes you're better at sprinting than running distance, or sometimes you're better at distance than sprinting. Try it out and see if you like it!
Companies that provide 'Cross Country Auto Transport Services' are for example 'National Transport LLC' and 'Cars Direct'. Another good company is 'Cross Country car shipping'.
Because it is the number one sport in Mexico
