the quality is amazing to say the least, the plastic's used in the baja are made very well, I'm not a huge fan of the servos they put in, but i always change the radio gear in any of my rigs to the spektrum stuff, you can't beat it. Chung yang make very good motors, in saying that, i have heard some story's where the plating on the cylinder wall had started to come off, i own a 5t (iv had 3 5b's in the past), upgrading these things is an addiction!...my rig is barely original.
The HPI Baja comes with varying amounts of motor power. The HPI Baja 5B comes standard with a 23cc engine, while the HPI Baja 5B SS comes standard with a 26cc engine.
Parts for the HPI Baja 5B can be found on sites that specialize in electronic toys. Another site would be eBay as many people are looking to offload parts.
The top HPI racing cars are remote-control cars. The top ones are the Baja 5B "Version 2" and the Blitz 2WD. The Savage is also a top HPI car. All of the HPI cars are high quality racing cars.
The year 2008 is when HPI's Baja 5B SS won the RC Car Action's Editor's Choice Car of the Year award. The remote car costs $2,100 to buy new due to it being a limited edition toy.
i would go with the dune runner 4x4 because it has four wheel drive and has less plastic on it than the 5b has. you can find many parts for the dune runner at davesmotors.com
get grabbier tires. or ease into full throttle
it costs about a thousand dollars maybe a little bit lower
Depends on which category of a racer you are. If you're into sandy, grassy and muddy places it's the perfect choice.
5b + 5b = 2 x 5b
