very...the engine and trans come out together through the bottom of the car with the sub-frame and control arms, then you separate the engine from trans and put back together, about 14 hours with the right tools and a lift
years from 89-99 the 95 3800 will fit those cars will even fit into the olds royale series same engine good luck!
Theoretically, you could put the supercharger setup from a factory supercharged 3800 series 2 engine but it would be a lot of work and you would have to do a lot with wiring. The Buick Park Avenue, Pontiac Bonneville SSEI and the Olds 88 LSS will have that engine.
on front of engine below water pump pully
The ABS sensors are in each wheel - in the hub assemblies, they are not in the engine.
My 1993 Olds Ninety-Eight 3800 has 290.AnswerUnless you have a supercharged engine, horsepower ratings for the 3800 (3.8 liter)V6 is around 170. The naturally aspirated 3800 Series II is rated at 205 HP while the supercharged version is rated at 240 HP.The engine in the 1989 ninety eight is the LN3 V6 which is rated at 165 HP
the thermostat is located in the housing where the top radiator hose enters the engine. Note: there is also a brass screw on the top of the housing, this is to bleed the air from the cooling system when you replace the thermostat (or do other cooling system repairs)
what is the radiator capacity on my 97 delta olds with a 3800 series engine The radiator only holds about 3 to 4 qts. The entire cooling system holds about 12 qts.
I have a 88 fiero with a 3800 and a 4l60 e overdrive supercharged out of a 94 olds bought it from a guy, very fast dyno 310 hp to the ground modified injectors , super charged forged pistons .030" over balanced , heads ported , forged rods . a few bugs I am working out i believe this would be a series 11 churchdad101@hotmail.com
located at the drive belt end of the motor (3.0 and 3.8 engines} 3800 motors the sensor is located at the other end. A 3.8 and a 3800 are the same engine just as a 3.1 is the same as a 3100. I have never heard of a 3.0 GM engine.
This explains it all. Leave it to the experts to mess everything up. http://www.autopartsdirecttoyou.info/?p=37
i know ive seen a 3800 in them dont know if the 3.3 would need more or less mods to how its set up
It would be costly and very time consuming. Unfortunately, GM never offered a manual transmission for the fwd 3800 engine.
