Very difficult, although not impossible. My wife was left out of her father's will. The live in companion influenced her father to make another will and leave her completely out.

The live in companion pre deceased her father in death, leaving a son. The stranger "son" is named executor of the will and is left everything in the estate.

We are involved in a will contest, challenging both the appointment of the executor and the will itself, based upon undue influence, lies, malicious rumors, and the competency of the testator at the time of the will.

Most will contests result in a compromise, due to the costs involved in litigation, research, investigation, depositions and such.
