Without NASA, we would not know most of the information we know now about the moon, and other planets in our solar system. They have created rockets and probes that most people would not have been able to do . We have tons of things from military and NASA. Some are space blankets, computers, GPS, Corning Ware, microwaves, eyeglass lenes that change color, and many other things we use everyday.

What does NASA do to contribute in your daily lives?

NASA technology was instrumental in developing the microchip, which powers every computer in the world. When someone gets into a car accident, they are hooked up to monitors that sends the information back to the hospital so the doctors and staff can be better prepared to work on the patient. That technology came from NASA. NASA was also instrumental in developing fireproofing materials and coatings for clothes. NASA developed freeze-dried foods which are used by hikers and campers world wide.

What has NASA given us?

NASA has given us advancements in space exploration technology, such as the Apollo missions to the moon, the Mars rover missions, and the Hubble Space Telescope. NASA has also contributed to our understanding of Earth through satellites that monitor the environment and climate. Additionally, NASA's research has led to innovations in everyday products, like memory foam and improved solar panels.

When was NASA Exceptional Technology Achievement Medal created?

What are some things made popular by nasa that are useful everyday?

Some inventions made popular by NASA that are now used in everyday life include memory foam (originally developed for astronaut seats), invisible braces (inspired by spacecraft ceramics), and scratch-resistant lenses (developed for astronaut visors). Additionally, technology such as satellite communications, water filtration systems, and cordless power tools have been improved by NASA research.

Why do we need NASA shouldn't we keep our money for ourselves?

There are many benefits to Space Exploration -Well believe it or not, NASA developed the technology used for you to view the Grammy Award telecast many years ago. -The elements used in spacesuit technology and cushioning are used in manufacturing of shock- absorbing athletic shoes. -Polarization and scratch resistant technology used for sunglasses were both developed by NASA scientists. In fact, did you know that the same material NASA uses to protect astronauts' hands from extreme temperatures in space is now found on Earth in jackets, blankets, scuba diving suits, and many other objects? We all have a need or desire for NASA. Without NASA we wouldn't have the technology we have today. The need that we get from NASA is greater than what we realize and for some, even hard to understand. The shared knowledge that we get from NASA's technology gives us the inspiration and spirit for space exploration. Without space exploration we wouldn't have NASA, and without NASA we wouldn't have the technology we have today.
