the left hand side of the hear is thicker as it has to pump blood all the way around the body where as the right hand side only has to pump blood to the lungs. the heart also has valves to stop flow back of the blood.written by a cat the heart can with stand fast pumping for intense exercise. the heart is different from any other muscle as it acts as a pump for the blood is is always moving, it has two chambers which act as a waiting room for the blood until it it pumped, this time is very short usually about a second written by a cat
